WORDLE SITE

I found a site that might be fun to play with. You can use your design for your blog, crafts, t-shirts, cards, scrapbooking or just about anything. Its fun to come up with your own words. Wordle
Here is something I made up which I can use on my genealogy site. Check it out to see how you can use it. Look at FAQ to get ideas.

Our Spoiled Molly

Our little Molly, who is definitely spoiled rotten and has an attitude, bit me. I had given her a bath and then tried to trim around her eyes. She didn't like this of course. Her hair grows so strangely, making long eyebrows and eyelashes and a mess under her eyes. Cocker Spaniel's eyes always run anyway and then can mat under the eyes. She snapped at me and I reprimanded her and put her in the kennel mainly so she will dry and not run outside wet and get dirty. Since she was in the kennel, it was a good time for Maggie, Julie's Cocker Spaniel, to play with a soft, rubber ball I had gotten her but Molly wouldn't let her have. You see, Molly is very possessive of all the toys. Molly just shook in the kennel wanting to get out so badly to take over that toy. I put away the toy when Molly was dry and let Molly out of the kennel. She looked all around for the toy. I wanted to groom Molly so had to take her outside to cut her hair on a table out there. I couldn't catch Molly so told Julie to give her the toy hoping she would play with it or keep it in her mouth while I groomed her. Julie just gave the ball to Molly and when I reached down to pick up Molly she bit me. What a bite. There was a quarter inch hole in the top of my hand, hardly any blood but when I looked at the hole and moved the skin around, I could see something white which turned out to be the tendon. My hand swelled up and ached all the way up my arm. I could barely move the 3rd and 4th fingers. I really wanted to cry all evening, it hurt so badly. Jerry had me soak my hand in some Epsom salt so this morning it did feel better with more strength in the hand but the swelling still there. I saw Bro. Fullmer, who is a foot doctor and lives by me, and had him look at my hand. He said there was no evidence of infection at this point and the swelling would go down. The tendon was traumatized. I felt better knowing this and I wouldn't lose my hand. Ha! But want an ordeal.

New Red Delicious Block

I finished the block for last month of the Red Delicious BOM. The new one will be coming out in a few days. I fused the pieces together and used a new technique to sew the edges. I found this on Patsy Thompson's web site. She uses what she calls EKG embroidery. It is really free motion sewing around the edges with varying sizes of v's or EKGs as she calls them.
I don't know if I've done them right but thought I would try this tecnique for something new. This is the Peony flower in a vase. Now that I look at the finished block, I wish I had used some different thread colors on the vase. But it will have to do. Picking out those little stitches if almost impossible.
Here is a close up of the peony flower.

Mary Kay Cosmetics

I took the plunge and became a Mary Kay consultant. This is going to be a tuff thing for me to do. I really do like the products and have been using them for a long time. In fact my mother used to sell Mary Kay back in the late 1960s. She had me using the products. Mary Kay started in 1963. After I quit teaching school and was still living in California, mother came out from Bisbee and I took her to a Mary Kay seminar in Los Angeles. I remember driving her up a mountain to a plush resort in LA. I remember winning a prize which was a rare happening for me.
Now I need some faces to practice on. If you feel you could stand a newbie working on your face and telling you all about Mary Kay, I would appreciate a call. You wouldn't have to buy anything, just let me practice. Give me a call.
