Red Delicious Block Three

I got all the red fabric out of my stash and put together the third block for Red Delicious. I have to figure out hard to sew around each applique.

Christmas Row by Row Quilt

I finally finished my Row by Row Christmas Quilt. Several of us have been working on this since last year. We started at the Cactus Patchers Spring Get-Away. We put together one row a month starting with the tree row. There was a lot of work to this and many little pieces to sew but I think it turned out nice. I couldn't get the best picture because it is so large, about 86x98. Now to get it quilted.
Here I am back in April 2008 at the Spring Get-Away with the row of trees behind me. I look a little razzeled but I had been working hard.

Trying to Please

I can believe how true that statement is. We spend all day trying to please everyone and just wear ourselves out. Yes, there are some rewards from pleasing others but it can get out of hand, don't you think? This boils down to thinking for yourself and letting others do and learn from doing. But, like in my family, everyone is so used to the things I do for them that they expect it. So I just keep on trying to please them. What a rut I'm in. What can you add to this?

Saying for the Day

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.".
