This is the Flake home and museum. This home has 3 stories and 16 bedrooms. The son of James M. Flake lived here with his wives and children. What fun it was to see all their pictures, furniture and memorabilia. Years ago it must have been a beautiful and exciting place to live.

A little bit of history...my mom helped restore some of the old Flake and Snow homes around Snowflake. When we lived there when I was a little girl, she was part of that committee. She did not do this particular home in the picture, but 3 others she helped on, and one of them you can tour still today I believe!
Wow, we heard about the Stinson home also. Can you believe that the Flake home was left open with no one there. There were so many memorbilia that someone could have taken. It sure makes you think about living there yourself at that time. It would have been hard for me. Ha!
